That's such interesting insight-- that people need to "muster the courage" of picking up a pencil and sketching it out. It's such a normal thing for me that I feel like I freeze up and psychologically dumb down my service to just making pictures when it's really about clear communication (bad communication poisons my soul). I did recently have a client experience where iterations of sketches helped clarify their message [...] It was such a fascinating thing to be reminded of-- you can BS your way around a bunch of words ("I think I see what you're trying to say") but once you need to put a sketch to it, there's really nowhere to hide.
