💡 Cook from frozen, or from scratch?

As those of us in the US approach the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, the mind goes to one place: the food.

It’s a day of family, friends and gratitude, typically celebrated around an often embarrassingly massive feast.

(For non-US folks, just think of a buffet. On steroids. In every home.)

Now, as you go to prepare your Thanksgiving dinner — stuffing, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie…

Which dishes do you buy prepared?

And which ones do you make yourself?

Why?

For prepared, is it convenience? speed? taste?

For homemade, is it tradition? quality? pride?

Most importantly, how do you feel serving one vs. the other?

Leveraging AI tools and hacks as a solo consultant and business owner is ultimately a good thing.

If there’s a lever you can pull to increase return on your time...

Break you out of a mental block...

Or eliminate tasks that take you out of your genius zone...

It’s foolish not to at least explore them.

But when it comes to building your differentiated core…

Synthesizing the beliefs you have about the problems you solve…

Designing the services that you personally need to sell and deliver…

Presenting yourself as the leading authority in your chosen domain…

Developing your intellectual foundation as a business owner and trusted partner…

Ask yourself, do you want to feel like all of that is cooked from frozen?

Or would you rather have the confidence, authenticity and pride that comes with knowing you cooked from scratch.

Shortcuts are tempting.

Quality may even surprise you.

But the feeling is never the same.
