A daily email about monetizing your corporate expertise. Give me ~1 minute a day, and I'll help you turn what you know into your most differentiated and lucrative asset.
Think about the last time you waited for a table at a popular restaurant. Flustered with impatience, you tell yourself, “I should’ve made a reservation.” Or, stuck in a long security line, you think, “I should’ve signed up for PreCheck.” Or, spending hours in line at a theme park, you start wondering, “Maybe that FastPass was worth it…” Now, these are mild inconveniences, not dire situations. Still, remember what you felt:
These feelings may feel familiar in today’s professional climate as well. The talent market (corporate & independent) is flooded, and seemingly every opportunity has a giant pool of well-qualified people waiting to be considered. So, if I told you there was a “FastPass” for conversations with prospective clients, would you take it? What if I told you you already have it, you just haven’t activated it? The FastPass out of a talent pool is, of course, differentiation. But what can you differentiate on?
This doesn’t have to be complicated. Your IP could be a thoughtful visual, a novel framework, or maybe a short white paper. But if even that seems overwhelming, remember those feelings of being trapped in a queue. Now consider the relief of not having to do that again. 💡 -Wes P.S. - Join me LIVE on Thursday (Sep 19) for a free interactive workshop on last month's "Is self-employment for me?" framework. Hosted by Mylance, an online community for solopreneurs and fractionals. Details and RSVP here. |
