đź’ˇ The opposite of the Olympics

I speak to a lot of solopreneurs who struggle to articulate their unique point of view on their domain.

Many find it hard to even recognize that they possess insights that are differentiated enough for anyone to care, much less to want to pay for.

Let’s shift context for a second.

~5000 miles from me, there’s a global event happening.

Literally half the world is watching it.

And while we’re all tuned into the same event — a shared stimulus, let’s call it…

Each one of us is internalizing it through a lens that is inherently unique due to our context:

  • Someone sees a shot of Paris that reminds them of their romantic visit a decade ago
  • Another feels personally touched by an underdog story that resonates subconsciously with their own experience growing up
  • Another sees medalists embracing and congratulating their competitors on the podium and sees a sliver of hope for a more peaceful world

If a monocultural experience like the Olympics can spark such an explosion of hyper-individualized lightbulbs…

Think about how differentiated your insights truly are, based on a career that no one has experienced but you.
