This actually surprised me — I would’ve guessed it would be heavily weighted towards marketing generalists. Instead, there’s an organic spread that gives everyone a roomy lane. When you think you’re ‘just another [xyz] consultant’ remember your competitive set is a lot smaller than you think… While your field may be packed with talent in the W2/full-time market... Only a fraction of that talent has the guts to go it alone. Only a fraction of those solos serve your vertical. Only a fraction of those serve your ICP’s company stage and problem. Only a fraction of those are in your same geography/time zone. Only a fraction of those have available capacity at any given time. And only one of those sees things the way you do. 💡 -Wes |
